Grandma's Dress

It is finally warming up here so I am putting every dress on her that I know will only fit for a short time. This one was mine when I was a baby and was made by my Grandma Lee. It is so cute, but a little short on her, it just barely covers her diaper. As you can tell Mere has maintained her svelt figure and the "buddha belly".

Blue and Meredith

I am lucky that the dogs are exceedinging patient with Meredith, although I fear the day she is crawling and they accidentally step on her. Blue has proven to be a great bodyguard. He sits patiently so that she can't fall of the bed or fall backwards and hit her head. She loves him and loves to pet all the animals. The cats have yet to wise up and stay away and I hate to admit how much Meredith loves to get licked by Purl. I guess it will just build her immune system, at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Shopping

Meredith has discovered the joys of sitting in the cart. She loves it! When you have a big baby they outgrow that infant seat quickly. Luckily she could at least sit up by herself by the time we had to switch to a big carseat. This trip all the older people stopped to say how cute she is. She loved them all, except the guy who thought she was a boy, and made fun of her lack of hair.

Meredith received her first package in the mail yesterday. I think she enjoyed the envelope more than the clothes inside but I loved the clothes. Thanks Anne, they should fit this fall and will be so cute.

Cold Spell

It's been cold here so Meredith has taken the opportunity to enjoy the sweater my friend Linda made her. it's beatiful and just the right amount of warmth for this weather.

She is also in love with that dummy, and can almost get it back in her mouth when it falls out.

Easter

Meredith had her first Easter and while I didn't subject her to the horrors of the giant bunny at the mall Grandma Sheryl was nice enough to make her an Easter basket. She looooooooooooves the Cadbury rabbit that quacks. So do the dogs but we are doing our best to keep them away.

Welcome to our blog. I guess it was inevitable. With everyone spread all over I figured this would be a great way to keep you update on Meredith, and maybe Mike and I. I will try and post often. We miss all of you.
