Swim Class

Meredith and I took another swim class and she was the star, of course. She was the only one willing to pour water over her own head... and mine and several other children's as well.

Daycare

Meredith looooooooooooooooooooves going to Lara's house. She has a little trouble sharing but does enjoy the other kids. And thank God for Lara, I don't think Meredith would know how to walk yet if not for her-she remembers to teach her things that don't even occur to me.

Wading Pool

She loves the wading pool at Tower Grove Park. She still doesn't seem to "get" playing with the other kids and gets quite upset when they get her wet but she becomes more brave every time we go.

Hugs

The best part about this picture is that Blue is mortified, but Meredith is totally in love with him. Poor guy.

Day at the park

Meredith and I spent this past Saturday at Tilles Park which has a nice area for smaller kids. The larger slide was a little scary for her as she ended up head first half way down, but the ladybug and snails were big hits.

Avery's Birthday Party

Meredith and I were invited to Avery's 1st birthday and we had a great time. Meredith spent most of the time sitting in a chair she found and watching the people she didn't know. That or she was plotting to take over the world-you decide.

Cinco de Mayo

It wasn't quite warm enough on the actual cinco de Mayo for Meredith to wear her Dress from Mexico that Lala brought back with her last time she visited, but it was on the seis de Mayo!


While trying to get a nice picture of Meredith in her dress I discovered that she thinks that when you say "cheese" you have to squat down. Wonder where that came from.

Easter Egg Hunt

Meredith went to her first Easter Egg Hunt this year.  She didn't quite get the whole concept so she ended up sitting down and I pushed eggs towards her.  She did manage to put them inthe basket though.  I think watching the other kids was even more fun than the eggs.

Trip to MN

Meredith and I ventured up to MN recently to see family, including Aunt Allison who had never met Miss Mere. Meredith did great on the plane pride up there, but had a melt down on the ride back. I tried to explain that just because you can fit under the seat in front of you, it doesn't mean you should. But there was no reasoning.

Sneaky Smile

Meredith's dad brought back this outfit from Singapore, and she modeled it during our recent visit. She is also perfecting her sneaky smile.

Exploiting Meredith

Rene is exploiting my child! Ok, maybe it's just that so is so darn cute. While she was watching Meredith for me, Rene took her with her to her cousin Carrie's, who just happen to have a hat that matched Meredith's outfit that day. I think we might have found her next Halloween costume.

Toddler Bed

Meredith got a new bed recently and she loves it. She'll sleep throught the night in it and you can often find her reading a book by herself in there. Now I just need to find a place to store all the things that were under the crib.

Uh Oh

Meredith's new favorite word is "uh oh". She has been able to say it for a while now but just recently seemed to decide it was a fun word to say. She says it very dramatically and like "uh oooooh", and she makes the cutest face when she does it, as you can see.

Blue Baby

Meredith loves her Blue Baby, and only Blue Baby. I bought him around her birthday because I had some store credit I needed to use, but for xmas I got her a Baby Stella and thought she would love it because it has a pacifier and clothes to change, but no. Baby Stella is not allowed near Blue Baby and if Meredith finds them together she trows Stella away and picks up Blue Baby. It's quite funny until you, or I rather, realize I wasted money on Stella. I'm hoping she'll come aroudn though.

Merry Xmas

Meredith doesn't totally get xmas yet, but she was sure happy to get the gifts. But even more to have the boxes they came in. Thank you to everyone who sent her something. She loved the puzzles and books from Aunt Alex and Uncle Caleb, which I let her open early and she continues to pull out and use.

Best Friends

Meredith could not ask for a better friend than Purl. Blue is too dignified for a baby, but Purl is more than willing to be climbed on, pulled on, fed from the hand and to eat off the floor.

Meredith the Model

I have been making a number of hats for xmas and Meredith is quite happy to model them for me. She reminds me of my sister Allison who also loved to have her picture taken as a kid. She hasn't started posing yet (unlike somepeople-Allison) but does smile when the camera comes out.
