The Animals

So I have to admit that I was a little worried about how the animals would be around Meredith and I have been pleasantly surprised. Blue is patient but hates when she tries to crawl over him and Purl is just happy that there is finally someone who let her lick them, although even Meredith is getting a little tired of that. For her part Meredith really enjoys holding the leash while we walk.

The cats are either the best cats ever (doubtful) or not that bright (probably the right answer) as neither runs when they see her and Oslow even lets her grab him and drag him across the floor. Weird.

Meredith's 1st Birthday

Meredith turned one recently and we celebrated first with a cupcake on her actual birthday

and then with a small party in Forest Park. The park was sooooooooooo busy, but it was a beautiful day and Meredith had a great time. Kudos to Aunt Cindy for getting the ball popper-Meredith has been wanting one of those. And she loves all the books she got.

Corn Roast

Mike and I took Meredith on our Annual trek to WI for Labor Day weekend. We stopped in Chicago the first night, then made it to WI on Friday, stopping first to see Aunt Ethel (Meredith's Great-Great Aunt), and then on to Plymouth. We all hada great time and everyone loved Meredith-of course. She was a really hit.

The Look

I have no idea what this face was for, but I had to put it up.

Wadding Pool

We went to Tower Grove Park last weekend to use the wading pool. Elinor was nice enough to get in with Meredith so Sally and I could talk and knit. Merdith had a great time and loved watching all the other kids play.

Modeling

Meredith and I stayed home together Tuesday so that Rene (who is watching Meredith while Lara is on maternity leave) could get some last minute stuff done. I managed to finish a hat for Lara's new son and Meredith was kind enough to model it for me.
